Paul Lambert / Drummer

PAUL grew up in Brooklyn, NY and credits his father, a U.S. Army veteran and trumpet player, as his biggest musical inspiration. By the age of 12, Paul was playing in cover bands around the area and covering tunes from Led Zeppelin, KISS and Jimi Hendrix.
He eventually moved to New Jersey and played in many different cover bands playing Atlantic City, Asbury Park as well as the New Jersey shore circuit and then joined an original band called “The Easy Outs” and opened up for such acts as The Smithereens, Dramarama, Ricky Byrd and Michael Monroe.Fast forward to present time, Paul moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where he fell in love with Southern Rock and was fortunate to join forces with Renegade Jason Ray Welsh.
One of Paul’s biggest influences is John Bonham who contributed to his current playing style of rock solid grooves with a soulful feel. Besides Bonham, other drummers that have made an impact on Paul’s playing style are Neil Peart, Todd Sucherman and Mike Portnoy, to name a few. Paul plays DW drums, Evans heads Vic Firth sticks and Zildjian cymbals.
Guy Martin / Bass Guitarist

Hailing from Massachusetts, Guy Martin’s musical journey began in high school, where he first picked up the bass guitar as part of the school’s jazz ensemble. While jazz gave him his foundation, it wasn’t long before the raw power of rock and roll took over. Guy’s first major opportunity came when he joined the band Lenny, spending several years recording in the studio and touring on the road, sharpening his sound and stage presence.
From there, he became a familiar face in the New England music scene, performing with various cover bands across the region—from local bars to high-energy NASCAR post-race shows. His path then led him west to Las Vegas, where he joined Smells Like Nirvana, a tribute band that earned the title of Best Tribute Band by Las Vegas Rocks Magazine. After years of playing across the country, Guy found a new home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where the spirit of Southern Rock and Outlaw Country reignited his passion.
Now laying down the low end for The Renegade Jason Ray Welsh Band, Guy brings a powerful groove, rock-solid rhythm, and decades of professional experience to the stage—anchoring the band’s sound with precision and soul.
David Allen Gerancher/ Lead Guitarist

Born and raised in the hard-edged hills of Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley, David Allen Gerancher picked up a guitar at 14 and never put it down. What started with a few chords from his brother Charlie turned into a lifelong obsession with tone, grit, and raw power. He sharpened his craft under local legends like Dave Smith and Steve Trollinger, learning how to make six strings scream, sing, and cut through any mix.
From smoky bar stages to the bright lights of Penn’s Peak—where his band Daily Grind opened for Slaughter and Skid Row—Dave earned every scar and every riff the hard way. After moving to Myrtle Beach in 2009, he kept the fire burning with bands like Watson Steel and 85 Overdrive, even shredding the National Anthem for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans.
Fueled by the blazing styles of Ted Nugent, George Lynch, Al Di Meola, Doug Aldrich, and Joe Bonamassa, Dave’s playing is a storm of precision and attitude—equal parts soul and fire. Armed with Gibson Les Pauls, Marshall grit, and decades of road-born experience, he brings the thunder to The Jason Ray Welsh Band. After 47 years on the fretboard, he’s not chasing fame—he’s helping light up the stage and letting the music speak louder than words.
